Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session in red territory, dragged by the fall of four sectors.
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index went down 0.08% to 9630.71 points, shedding 7.89 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 26.9 million after 382,800 shares were exchanged through 445 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.61% as Ezdan Holding Group and Barwa Real Estate declined 0.93% and 0.25%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector went down 0.17%, pressured by Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIK) which dropped 1.09%.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.44%, followed by the insurance sector with 0.04%.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 95,500 shares, generating QAR 15.6 million in liquidity.
